Booking and Reservations

Advance Booking:
Customers are encouraged to book their hiring equipment at least 4 weeks in advance to secure availability, especially during peak seasons.

Booking Confirmation:
- A refundable Bond deposit needs to be made to lock in your event date.
- The refundable bond will be returned once equipment is returned in condition it was received on the date of the event.
- Kids Event Hire will then send a confirmation email of your booking.
- Final payment to be made a minimum of 4 weeks before the event date.

Minimum Order:
There may be a minimum order requirement depending on the type of equipment or event (e.g., a minimum spend or number of items).
Payment Terms

Deposit:
Refundable Deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the rental equipment on the event date.

Final Payment:
The final payment must be paid 4 weeks before the event date.

Accepted Payment Methods:
- Refundable Bond: Bank Transfer or PayID
- Hiring Equipment: Payment can be made on our website with Stripe.
Late Payments: Late payments may incur a penalty fee, and the hiring agreement could be canceled if payment is not made on time.
Delivery & Pickup

Delivery Charges:
Delivery fees may apply depending on the location of the event and the size of the rental order.

Delivery Window:
We allocate 30 mins for our Bump In time and 30 mins for our Bump out time.
- Bump In: 30 mins before the event time
- Bump Out: End time of your event.
Unless otherwise agreed upon. * Fees can apply if the timing starts to impact another event for equipment hire. This fee can be deducted from the refundable bond.

Pickup:
Equipment will be collected after the event, typically at the end time of the event unless special arrangements are made.

Customer Responsibility:
The customer must ensure that the delivery and pickup locations are accessible and that any necessary permissions for access are granted (e.g., permits for restricted areas).
Equipment, Usage & Care

Condition of Equipment:
The customer is responsible for ensuring that all hiring equipment is used correctly and safely. Equipment should be treated with care and returned in the same condition as received. -
Prohibited Uses:
Equipment should not be used for any purpose other than its intended use. For example, tables and chairs should not be used for standing or climbing. -
Setup and Dismantling:
Kids Event Hire can offer setup and dismantling services for an additional fee, or the customer may choose to handle this independently. -
Handling Damage:
Customers should notify Kids Event Hire immediately if any equipment is damaged, lost, or malfunctioning during the hiring period.
Damage & Loss

Damage to Equipment:
The customer is responsible for any damage or loss of hiring equipment. A repair or replacement fee will be charged based on the condition of the item at return. -
Cleaning Fees:
Customers are expected to return the equipment in a clean condition.
Additional cleaning fees may be charged off the bond if the items are excessively dirty. -
Cleaning Service:
We offer cleaning service at a small cost for peace of mind and stress-free service with a grantee for your refundable bond. -
Indemnity: Kids Event Hire is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from the use of rental equipment.
Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made more than 3 weeks before the event are eligible for a partial refund of the deposit (less a cancellation fee).
Cancellations made within 72 hours are non-refundable.

Rescheduling:
If the customer needs to reschedule the event, the company will do its best to accommodate, for this option with a minimum of 3 months notice before the event date and will accommodate depending on availability of Kids Event Hire and the equipment required. *Additional fees can apply.

Item Substitution: In the event that a hiring item is unavailable or damaged, Kids Event Hire will substitute it with a similar item of equal or greater value, subject to customer approval.
Health & Safety Guidelines

Safety Compliance:
All equipment should meet local health and safety regulations. The rental company is responsible for ensuring that equipment is safe to use at the time of delivery.

Cleaning & Sanitising:
All of our equipment is sanitised with Eco-friendly multipurpose cleaning products from an Australian made and own company.

Terms & Conditions

Hiring Period: The hiring period is usually, from the delivery date/time to the pickup date/time.

Ownership of Equipment:
All hiring equipment remains the property of Kids Event Hire. The customer is granted a temporary use of the equipment for the agreed rental period.

Force Majeure: Kids Event Hire is not responsible for any delays or failures in service due to causes beyond their control (e.g., natural disasters, flooded road or closure, extreme weather conditions etc..).
